Digital Photography for Beginners Tutor: Hazel Davies
This course is for anyone with a digital SLR, Bridge camera or compact camera who would like to improve their photography skills.
During the course you will be encouraged to use different settings in a variety of practical exercises conducted during the sessions and view the resultant images.
Getting out of “Auto”
Understanding aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how to use them creatively to enhance your photography.
Learning the differences between hard and soft light and how to work with the light that’s available.
Exploring the basic rules of composition and how they can make your images look more professional.
Working in small groups with students with similar experience and equipment you will work at a gentle pace, gaining in confidence and ability. After the course you will enjoy using and experimenting with your camera and be confident that you can produce better quality photographs.
Any extra cost incurred during course: You will need to be capable of printing your images either at home or using a store printing service.
Equipment to be provided by student: Digital Camera with memory card and charged batteries (we will take photos during the first session).
