Dressmaking & Sewing for All Abilities (Tues) Tutor: Isabel Gomes
This course is for people who want to learn and explore the sewing machine in order to be stylish, save money and create something useful for their home or for gifts. It will enable you to become confident in using all the features and functions of your sewing machine. You will learn basic maintenance of your machine, selecting correct foot, needles and threads. You will be guided through stitch types and their use including: straight, stretch, zigzag, blind and other decorative stitches, and have the opportunity to make your own samples and stylish items. This course will help to improve your sewing ability according to your individual goals as well as offering other techniques that you may not have thought you could do and so inspire you to keep going on this learning experience Any extra cost incurred during course: A list will be emailed to students prior to course starting. Equipment to be provided by student: Sewing machine and manual, extension lead, note book and pen.
