Yoga is a commonly known generic term for the physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India with a view to attain a state of permanent peace. We run five Yoga courses suitable for beginners to the more experienced student.
Unsure if Yoga is for you? The word yoga means ‘union’. This class will introduce you to some of the postures, breathing techniques and relaxation exercises of this movement therapy. Is yoga for you? These Hatha Yoga sessions will introduce you to physical postures, breathing and relaxation techniques from this ancient art and welcomes anyone at any stage and ability in life. The course aims to develop an understanding of posture practise, relaxation and meditation and is designed to enhance the sense of well-being. The course is ideal for students who wish to recognise the benefits of yoga, physically, mentally and spiritually, increase their awareness and explore simple meditation techniques. Each session allows students to be with the present and may release physical and mental tensions.
All costs are included in these courses. Students are advised to bring a mat and a bottle of water or juice. (An exercise mat /camping mat will do to start with).
